JUNIOR SURF FITNESS with the Original Barefoot.

WARMING UP

Before conducting any training exercise it's wise to do a basic warm up:

• This can be in form of light jogging, side stepping, star jumps, basic mobility, arms swings, and leg swings.

• Try to warm up so it lasts at least 8-10 minutes, even if you feel your exercises you are about to do are low impact.

COOLING DOWN

Cooling down is also important, allowing the body to ease back to normal.

And also as you get older during training your body produces more lactic acid during high intensity,so a light aerobic jog followed by a stretching routine can be a must.

SINGLE LEG BALANCE EYES CLOSED

With the Indo Board deck, and indoFLO cushion firstly try with two feet, hip width apart, then once balanced try closing eyes, for as long as possible. Once you get good at this then try single leg balance with eyes closed. This will improve your surfing propreoception skills.

CORE AND PADDLING

INDO BOARD FRONT PLANK INTO PRESS UP

The Indo Board with indoFLO cushion - two exercises in one! Start the exercise in a front plank position head in line with the spin. From there after a count to three lift one foot, hold for three then change to the other side, then ... do a press up! Repeat whole exercise as many times as possible. Great for working the core, and upper body.
